In fact, they oftentimes carry unique products that are (at times) simply better than the mainstream products found elsewhere.

Independently owned. Not sure if the products are all new but I know that some products have been sitting on the shelves for years possibly decades. Very poor return policy. Better off driving 2min more to got to Rona or Reno Depot

This place used to be a Rona but changed to Home Hardware after Lowes purchased Rona. It's nice having a Home Hardware nearby, as they are few and far between around here, while Rona's are a dime a dozen.

That being said, it is surprising to see the selection of "alternative" brands compared to what one will find in all other stores.

So last night my home key snapped inside the lock. I managed to get the piece out and in the morning i came here with the 2 pieces to make duplicates. The guy said it was no problem and proceeded to make me 3 keys. I go back home and none of the keys work, so i return to the store and he tries again. Of course they don't work again, so I return back to the store for the third time and ask for a refund. The cashier accuses me of bringing back different keys but the guy who did the work said no the old keys are in the Back store. So I get my refund and drive up the road to Rona and sure enough the man working over there informs me that not all keys are the same. I needed a wr5 key. I had rona make me 3 keys and they all work fine.

This store certainly doesn't have the square footage to size up against any modern day hardware warehouses.

For this, they get extra points.

Nice neighborhood hardware store with a good variety of stock. Home Hardware is the place to be!

The staff is friendly and informed and helpful. And for a small to midsize store, it pretty much has all the stuff I'm looking for for my little projects.

All in all, great store. It's local, good selection and staff. What more could I ask for?

So not only is the staff unexperienced, but the cashier actually accuses me of trying to cheat a few bucks worth of keys! A headache for nothing. Rona is way better.

Also, when the store rebranded, they completely refurbished the store. They did a great job of it.
